It would all depend on the table dynamics and how this player had been playing. You didn't fold preflop, you saw the flop, you likely folded after the flop as no turn card was mentioned. QQ is one of those hands that can get you in trouble and in a hurry. He could've had a multitude of hands that beat you after that flop. He had KK which had you dominated. You'd be surprised how many hands two big pairs come out or two medium pairs along with AK, AQ-A10 type hands. Since you were playing lower level stakes, it's unlikely he was trying to buy or bluff you out of the hand. That's a strong re-raise and he fired out not waiting for you to check raise you.
